Windows 3.11 Network Software

For what kind of network? I have an older copy of 3Com's Transcend Enterprise Manager, and I think it is old enough where it doesn't require NT to run, but I could easily be wrong. It's geared towards managing 3Com's networking equipment, and was the only good management tool for CellPlex/CoreBuilder 7000 ATM switches (I have a pile of those, if anybody is interested!), which we had as our network core. Blazing-fast OC12 backbone links; those were the days. ATM LANE for ethernet 'LAN Emulation' -- a totally different and these days totally useless skillset.

I mean more network / Ethernet / TCP/Ip related tools

Viewing protocols and traffic / etc incoming and outgoing...

Just didn't know if anything was ever created for 3.11 by retro community or if something was out back then.

My equipment at home is all cisco with a juniper router thrown in for my retro network (separated from main house network)

It's more for a "that would be cool if something like that was around to mess with" type thing. Working in my CCNA and really enjoy networking.

Like Wireshark, then?

I used the predecessor of 'The Beholder' from DNPAP 'Back in the day' myself. It runs on DOS, and was my first exposure to packet drivers. You can still find 'The Beholder' if you look hard enough (one location: http://www.decuslib.com/decus/lt91b/netmons/beholder/ ).

You can also read the thread the last time this came up on these forums (I'll link to my own post in the thread): http://www.vcfed.org/forum/showthread.php?45496-Network-Packet-Sniffer-Recommendations&p=349539#post349539
