Hi,

Any good USB mouse driver for DOS that can support the USB chipset on newer motherboards?

I am asking as I have a Core i5 motherboard whose USB legacy support in BIOS works fine with keyboard, floppy disk drive, hard disk and even USB CD drive, just not with mice! With this BIOS, USB floppy drive will nicely appear as A:, hard disk & CD-ROM drive will appear as secondary master & slave, but strangely USB mouse is somehow not mapped to PS2 interface (USB keyboard works fine, however).

On my old Pentium 4 motherboard, USB mouse works fine with various DOS mouse drivers if USB legacy support is enabled.

You will need to wait for someone to figure out the newer USB controllers and move it to DOS. http://bretjohnson.us/ explains how Intel changed the chipsets and dropped the older UHCI host controller with the suggested solution of buying a USB card that supports UHCI.
