The Roland LAPC-I is a Roland CM-32L MIDI synthesizer and a MPU-401 on an 8-bit ISA card, designed to be used in IBM PCs. It can be used with the MCB-1 breakout box, which includes physical MIDI inputs and outputs as well as other connectors for use with the MPU-401.

Another model was the Roland LAPC-N, which was a smaller dual-PCB card for use with the NEC PC-98. This version is quite similar to the LAPC-I, but uses a different bus architecture and the MCB-2 breakout box.
