Two of my favorite games back in the early 80s were Blue Max and Stealth. I preferred Blue Max on the C64 and Stealth on the Atari 800. Anyhow, some of you may already know this link as it has been around for years, but I ran into it recently. The remake of Blue Max is pretty rough, but a good attempt. The number keys change the camera perspective with the number 8 being the most familiar to me.

The remake of Stealth is definitely more polished, but hard as nails (or maybe it's just me).

He has many other projects as well like a Boulder Dash remake, etc., but those two stood out for me. Hopefully he'll polish up the Blue Max remake one day. I was so addicted to that game on the C64.
I should note the Blue Max controls as there is no mention of them that I can find.
Arrows - direction
A - accelerate
B - decelerate
Space - guns
Ctrl - bombs
1-8 - camera perspective
There might be more controls, but I haven't gone beyond those.
Stay low altitude if you want to see what your bombs are hitting. Like I said, it's a tad rough around the edges and can be quite tricky to control.
