I am a total newcome to GCC and GNU programming.
I somewhere did read there was a 8086 port of GCC under development, what kind of operating system is it supposed to run on. DOS or ELKS?

Further i am curious about brooktree gpu and older PC-XT compatible network cards. As i understand it brooktree gpgpu is a general purpose programming language running on gpu's.

What hardware requirments is for brooktree will it run on ATI mach series gpu's?
Would it be possible to port the Brook programming environment to 8086 when GCC is working?

The 8086 port of GCC was abandoned; there is too much difficulty in trying to get a 32-bit flat memory-model compiler ported to a 16-bit segmented-memory model environment.
