Laser 128 info wanted

Hi all! I found this site looking for info on the computer I found at my house. It was left in the attic at my house when I moved in. I cleaned it all up and it works great. I took a couple pics of the computer, printer and the software and the boxes it came with. The games aren't all that fun really.

My question is, is this even hard to find? I couldn't find any examples of the box being in tact. Great site by the way.

Strangely enough when I saw the Pictures of it, it looked remotely
familiar. I've never used one though, perhaps I saw it for sale
someplace - would have been back in the 80s. Is it 16bit based?

What's wrong with games - sounds like they don't have an arcade feel
about them - a bit 8bittish. "Where in Time is Carmen Sandiego?" is an
Apple ][ based game isn't it - looks like your machine has a bit of Apple ][
influence, looks kinda simular to a Apple ][c in a way - this would have to
make it an 8bit wouldn't it - unless it's one of those dual-processor
machines?

:lol: I think i'm fine with just this one. It's heavy enough ugh. As far as the games go, I guess the games they left me with just aren't all that exciting. Some kind of power controller game and it can't get Carmen to work without a mouse. I used to play it all the time when I was in grade school. We used to have races too see who could beat it the fastest.

The back of the box has a small pic of Space Quest. I used to love that game.

The Laser 128 is an Apple ][c clone.

I don't think they either super common nor super rare...

I could be wrong though.

Looks to be in pretty nice condition.

If I understand correctly, it was the first Apple clone that could not be shut down by a lawsuit, as Video Technology had made their own compatible ROM instead of copying Apple's like other clone manufacturers did. Old-Computers.com refers to it being 99.8% Apple IIc Plus compatible and says it was aggressively marketed in Sears stores.

Two unboxed Laser 128's were sold for about €40 each recently. You seem to have the whole kit and kaboodle with box, monitor, printer, docs and a bit of software.
