Hello, My 5170 has a card in its slot 3, and I do not know what the card is, or what function, if any, it does for the 5170. It has a 9 pin connector, so I wonder if it is some type of graphics card. The computer came with an EGA card in slot 1, so that make me think that maybe it is not a graphics card. I am attaching 2 photos. Anyone know?

Thanks.

It looks like ethernet to me. I can't read any numbers, but I suggest you plug some of the likely numbers into Google.

Edit: Got to thinking, it could be a Token Ring network card as well.

Token Ring - definitely token ring. The 9 pin connector and the green round circle sticker are the giveaway.

Ethernet never had such a connector. There is the AUI connector, but that is 15 pins.
