I searched and searched for an introduction area when I first joined, but I must be an idiot because I didn't find it till today.
I love old computers, but I don't collect the really, really old ones like some people here do. It might be something fun to dabble in, if I found any. Back in 2002 or so I had an IBM Xt, or something close to that which I found at the Salvation Army. The box, keyboard, monitor, some manuals, etc. It worked perfectly. I even bought some old floppy games and installed on it. Sadly, back then, I was not into old computers like I am now, and I didn't value them as much, and I got rid of it. It still pains me that I did.
I really enjoy the challenge of taking an old cast-off that someone else didn't want and that doesn't work and bringing it back to working order.
