I could do with some help in using a 14 mhz 65c816 with a 1mb 70ns simm for project, I want to use it as a graphics system for my 32 year old commodore 4016 soon to be 8032, I am looking for a dram refresh controller, I want to use it with the commodore's 12 inch crt.

I have a basic plan for the graphics system, I am thinking of 512 x 512 pixels as commodore sold a graphics card for the 8032 in the 1980s so the crt can take it, the the commodore would send instructions to the custom card via a spare ram address probably above the 32k system ram or via the IEEE488 bus, the 65816 would work out the the screen data and store in on the 1mb 30 pin simm, and copy the data to one of two 1k banks of static ram to be read to the crt with an old CRTC or shift register, one 1k bank can be written while the other is being sent to the crt to free up the cpu, I want to use 1k4 2114 static ram for the buffers and 65c816 for the gpu as its the 16 bit family of the 6502 used on the commodore.

there is some info that the commodore crt is very like a b/w pal tv tube, and is driven as such

I need info on the Commodore High Resolution Graphic board for the PET using the Thomson EF936x with a resolution of 512x512 pixels, or any other graphics board for use with the commodore crt
