This was posted in another area, but wanted to make sure as many people as possible are aware of this.

It appears that most, if not all, of Don Maslin's collection of disk images has been recovered!

It's being hosted until 10 Dec at http://uploaded.net/file/2k0ycsh9

Be advised, it is a throttled down download site and the file is approximately 250MB! Yes, it will take the better part of an hour to get the whole thing. Ask me how I know...

Anyone have suggestions where this could be hosted so it won't be lost again?

I'd volunteer, but my ISP allows me 250MB of storage and that's the size of the ZIPPED file!

There's a slew of other options available: RapidGator, RyuShare, MediaFire.... the list goes on.

Upload away! - Of course, more permanent storage medium via a dedicated webspace might be a plus, and is probably more of what you're looking for, but these file sharing places aren't bad for mirror sites.

No idea what you're thinking, but now everyone sees it twice. :) In any case, thanks for the heads up.

At the price of server space these days, I'd be surprised if most people here don't have a place to put this - they're just not coming forward. I'd volunteer, but I'm already doing lots in that regard. Besides, I'm not using CP/M myself, although there was some worthwhile DOS collectibles in that archive as well. (Again, thanks Curtis.)

I posted in 2 areas to make sure people see it.

Some folks don't check the software area very often and may check the discussion area, or vice versa.

And I don't deserve that much thanks. I found out the news and am just trying to spread it around to make sure we don't lose this forever like we almost did when Don passed away.

beware!!!
there are 3 viruses detected on the archive. i scanned it using f-prot windows.
