Canon Innova 200ls

Snagged a nice looking Canon 486 laptop that looks mint but the LCD is dead (dualscan I think). The screen is totally dark, I wonder if the backlight is dead or if the old SMT aluminum capacitors on the back of the panel (8 10uf 25V) are dead. Any ideas?

Have you tried shining a flashlight on the screen? (to see if the backlight is dead).
