This is for a 386 tower that has a working MFM controller (DTC) Need to be able to connect an IDE drive also for backup purposes.

I have an IDE Enhanced ISA card: 2 PATA, 1 Floppy, 1 lpt, 1 com

I'm based in Ireland though

EDIT: I also have a Future Domain ISA card

I'm pretty sure I've got a few 16-bit ISA controllers sitting out. $10 shipped if you want one. No guarantee it'll work with an MFM controller though. That will take some fiddling with each controller so they don't conflict and probably a BIOS that supports 4 hard drives.

Why not use an 16-bit ISA multi-function card coupled with the XT-IDE bios rom? That should allow it to easily coexist with your MFM - just make sure to disable or jumper the floppy/parallel/serial ports if you don't need them.

Alternatively, you could also employ a SCSI controller+drive, which would not interfere with the MFM setup. 16-bit SCSI controllers are easy to fine and SCSI drives aren't that rare.
