Hello All,

I am trying to get two of my older systems completed and was wondering if anyone can help me out.
I need to know what is the original keyboard that came with the IBM 5170. What should I be looking for on ebay.
Second what was the original keyboard that came with an IBM ps/2.
Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Thank You.

The keyboard you're looking for is an 84-key Model F, or Model F AT. I believe some also came with a Model M, but that would be later in their production.

The PS/2s generally came with a Model M, or a Model M Space Saver. The plain Model M is far more common and around 1/8 of the price of a space saver.

Thanks everyone I found a 84-key Model F keyboard on eBay so that is now done. As far as the Model M, I have a IBM Keyboard that says "Part No. 71G4644" would that be the appropriate keyboard?

I'm not sure of the part numbers overall although 139xxxx is surely good. You can also go by date and I think it was after 1991 when Lexmark took over Model M production. You can check on that or someone here will know the exact date.
