*HELP* transferring files from old laptop to PC without floppy disk drive

Hi I have an old 386 laptop but it's really bad and doesn't even have a floppy drive! It's a "Librex T386 SX" model "N320SNTT". It does have a floppy drive connector but it's really long and weird and I'm 100% sure it's proprietary. Other connectors it has are a PS/2 port, a serial, a parallel and a VGA. It obviously has a power connector but it's also odd fortunately I have the original external power supply to hook it up to the wall outlets. The RAM and hard drive are easy to remove you just pull them out of the computer just like the battery (which is dead). There's also a place to insert "IC CARD" but I don't know what they are and I don't have them. The hard drive is a small 40MB rectangle metal box that says "Detachable HDD for LibrexT386SX model HDT40UK" and inside that box is the real hard drive, a Toshiba MK1122FC. But it also has a weird connector so I can't hook it up to a "normal" computer.

So my question is: Is it possible to transfer the files from this laptop to my computer? The laptop runs on MS-DOS 6.22.

You can do the transfer to any computer that has a serial port with Laplink.

Since you have MS-DOS 6.22, you probably have INTERLNK and INTERSVR. They can be used to transfer data.

Of course that will only work if he already has intersvr.exe on the hard drive.

Are you sure the connector inside the box isn't 2.5" IDE? (Google isn't telling me much about it off hand. Indications are it is IDE but it could easily have a different connector or wiring)

An early drive like this isn't likely to work with an IDE-USB adapter. But if it is normal IDE, connecting it to an IDE port with a 2.5" to 3.5" adapter on a similarly vintage desktop computer might work.

It's a normal IDE that will work in any system with an IDE interface.

Yeah I found out about INTERLNK and INTERSVR and they're both on the laptop so I plugged my old computer to hook each other with a laplink cable but the computer power supply blew up.... I have others but they're all disassembled.. So I removed the hard drive from the box and you were right it has a 2.5 IDE connector so if I buy something like this: http://www.ebay.ca/itm/2-5-Laptop-t...092?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_2&hash=item2c73c0f36c I could hook it up to one of my computer. But I really don't know what happened to the power supply it did a really weird sound and the computer wouldn't turn on anymore..
