Learning how to convert a Magnavox Odyssey 2 membrane keyboard?

I've recently come into a Magnavox Odyssey [SUP]2[/SUP] and would like to convert the built-in membrane keyboard to a ps/2 or usb output but the problem I'm having is that I have no idea where to look for this kind of information. I want to learn how to do it but cannot figure out what it is that I need to learn. Can anyone point me in the right direction or give me a clue of what kind of conversion I'll need to learn about?
