'Reverse' Eye-Fi, Transcend or EZ Card as a HDD replacement?

How would this be?

When a file is created on your Vintage box (which has an IDE interface and a CF to SD adaptor) it is wirelessly synced/copied to a folder on your Mac etc. Likewise, want to add a file to your Vintage box, simply drag it to the folder and it's wirelessly copied to the Vintage box!

This is really more a two way version of the current crop of cards, rather than a reverse only version.

Of course, unless we have get into the firmware on the SD/WiFi cards, which of course is probably going to be difficult, then this is probably only a dream.

Sounds like Dropbox. which is what I use to do this between iPad, Mac and Windows.

Yes, but I haven't seen a Dropbox client for DOS.....

They run Linux and they have been hacked. If you Google a little bit, you will find instructions on how to root them.

No, they generally only copy jpg and raw images etc and they are one way.

Now we just need a kind soul to write/rewrite some Perl code and we'll be adding embedded WiFi to Vintage PC's. Imagine being able to copy from or to the "hard drive" of an XT etc!?
