I finally have the 6800 based clone system up and running, and have production quality boards. It was running at VCF MW last weekend.

There are three boards required to make a minimal system: motherboard, 6800 CPU, and serial board. That gives a complete system with 16K of RAM, 8K of EPROM with an extended version of SWTBUG, and a serial port for connection to a terminal or computer using a terminal emulator.

I've got to get the schematics, documentation and source files on the web pages, hopefully this weekend. If anyone wants blank boards, those are also available, and all of the components are available on the net.

Hi Dave,

Not yet, but maybe in a few months. I need to get the SD card and FLEX drivers done first, then I can get back to a 6809 based CPU board.

Does anyone know what happened to Corsham Technologies?

I have been following the blog there for some time, and occasionally making a comment. They looked like they were going to expand on their new design of the old SWTPC 6800 machine and also make a 6809 CPU board. There was talk of a floppy disk emulator using a SD card, and possibly ending up with a small system running Flex.

When I went there to take a peek recently:

the web page comes back with "500 Internal Server Error."

It's been a few days, now. Does anyone know what's up with those folks?

Yes, that's why I posted here - in case he was not aware of the error situation.

I just checked the site again myself, and yes, it seems to be back online.

I don't know if it was only me or not, but, just in case, I wanted to try something to alert Bob and his company that there might have been an issue.

Now I can return to monitoring Bob's progress... And, I see that the blog indicates they had an outage, too.

Sorry about not being on here for a while; work commitments. My hosting company had no explanation why the site was down but brought it back up once I called to inquire about it.

The 6809 SS-50 board is up and running! Production boards might be in late next week. Last night I had a 2K Tiny BASIC running in EPROM, integrated into SBUG. If I can squeeze some more space out of the interpreter my plan is to switch the other bank of RAM in so that BASIC programs won't be in the main bank.

I'll be at VCF East in April with both 6800 and 6809 systems, plus KIM accessories. You can play with them there at the show.
