IBM Thinkpad 300 or 700 replacement screen and questions...

So...I have managed to acquire some MORE old IBM iron. This time in the form of two thinkpads. One is the 300, and one is the 700. Both of them work, save the 300 has a bad HD. However, they both have screen issues.

The 300 has an issue where there is a horizontal line through the middle and slowly completely fades to black.

The 700 just gas a cracked LCD.

What is the best way to go about repairing these machines?

This is not likely to be a screen issue.

To verify that it isn't you should hook up an external monitor to it.

Lines on laptop screens are often due to problems with the connection. Is it a printed "ribbon" as these can crack. Check everything is seated properly.?

The computer works great with an external monitor. It could be just the cable, any idea where I might be able to find a service manual?

I bought a thinkpad 300c... Good comdition but i didn t find the power supply...do you know the model? I looking for in everyplace but nothing...thanks for your help
