All I know is it was made in '84, has the best sounding radio I've ever used(it's weird), and uses cool parts to play the tapes.
And mine has a rotted belt that I can't get to. :puke:

I am requesting a pdf of the service manual, and some info on stuff like how rare it is, if it was worth my $24, and if I can easily clean rotted belt.
Also, what glue do I use for cracked switches?

Thanks!

Doesn't look like anyone here has answers to the specific questions. You have two options: spend on a service manual when it shows up in the usual places or start undoing screws and open the case. Not sure about that model but most small tape players are very simple to get into. Just be careful not to strip the screw holes or it won't go back together again.

Rare: Not very rare, many thousands were made.

Cleaning rotted belt: No clue until you open it up. Could all be balled up and easily extracted or jammed into the motor which would take a lot longer to fix. There are suppliers that still offer belts of the approximate sizes for most tape players. I expect you will need to replace the belt not just clean off a sticky patch.
