Hi all,

After seeing this FORCE 1334 Packard Bell CORNER Computer on eBay, Australia and posting the link in the 'sell section' here; I got to thinking 'why and for what reason did the designer go to the trouble of building such a case design.

Was it a one of, maybe for a show ?

Or was it a limited production as a sale for some school or Government body ?

I am certain someone on this site has so really good detail on this computer case style.

Hi again all,

well that seller says he will only post in Australia and no pickup.

for something I am gathering is as rare, I really hope he knows how to pack it well.

If he was offering pickup, I think a few here from Sydney, Australia, could have picked it up and shipped it on to anyone forum member, that really wanted it overseas.

For $42 postage between Sydney and Melbourne as ebay sale lists, I do really wonder how well its getting packed. I could not imagine it being doubled boxed, as that would push postal price right up.

However reading this sellers feedback, certainly seems he/she does a good job in packaging.

there have been threads about this machine here, in the past. When PB was at its zenith in sales, they had great machines.

No, Packard Bell had some of the best cases. Hiring Frog Design does have benefits. The computers inside the cases were towards the bottom and QC work was given to the purchasers.

Kind of a cool idea... If you had an L-shaped desk this would handle the corner quite nicely. There have been a few brave attempts on aesthetics on the PC side of things, but not nearly enough IMHO. The key to Apple's rebirth was figuring out a beige box did not excite the heart, and that if you could excite the heart, what was inside the new box didn't matter so much. :)
