This is my first post on this (apparently wonderful) forum so, first and foremost, hello world.
You guys have built quite the place here. Even if I'm not into this as I wish I would be (for money reasons, job reasons etc but wtv) here's the chance that I'll spend a good time reading some of the stuff here and hopefully learn quite a lot.

As the title says, I'm looking for the owner of the IBM 5150 early CGA comparison photo's rights. The user who gave the photo to put on minuszerodegrees.

The reason is that I've been creating a cardgame as an one-man-army (my first "all my own" game) designer and it would be wonderful for me to be able to use some pieces of the photo as a texture for some cards' background. I don't know for sure if this will in fact become a commercial project but I intend to finish it and publish the game somehow.
So what I'm looking for is: Which rights do I have to use this picture? The user who took it is here? Is there any problem if I use it that way? Do I need to buy the rights for it if I wish to use it in the finished product?

This is an example/beta of what I'm talking about. Except for the CGA detail, almost everything is 100% vector art I've done. It's a retro-cyberpunk themed boardgame. Some of my last vector art/illustrations can be seen here. Thanks for anything!

If you find it useful, I've been recently uploading a bunch of hardware photos in a similar style over at the Vogonswiki. Those photos are free to use for any purpose without asking permission, as long as you give attribution somewhere (e.g. a link to the website at the end of your game's instruction manual.)

That may turn out to be very (very+) useful and I'm more than happy to give attributions in the best ways possible, thank you very much!

www.minuszerodegrees.net is my site. As for the photos there, the vast majority of photos that are not source credited are photos that I have taken myself. The particular photo that you write of (comparing two CGA cards) is one of mine. I give you permission to use that photo freely. No attribution required.

Thank you! Many thanks to you and Malvineous (I'll probably use something from Vogonswiki too) for this.
I plan to give attribution anyway to minuszerodegrees too, unless you ask me not to.
