We powered up the last McIntosh solid state we saw two or three years ago. Got a *lot* of complaints from the eBay community. Got called some names too. But that's just typing on the internet.

So with stuff like this, Dynaco's, Heathkits, and some others, it saves time to list them as is. The marginal difference we might make if power-tested is offset by the labor spared on testing and dealing with eBay lawyers niggling about the third widget left of the fraginator.

Audiophiles can be more persnickety than most of the other buyers we deal with. And there isn't much point in trying to convince them we know what we're doing. Ninety-nine percent of the audio gear we see is sold to local buyers that are willing to jump through the hoops to make an extra buck.
