Any BBS's out there that accept 300/1200 baud connections?

Hi Everyone,

I have a TRS-80 Model 4 connected to a Radio Shack 1200 Baud Model (I finally found a DB25 Male-Male cable, woohoo!), and I'm now looking for a BBS to connect to. Any suggestions?

I'm also thinking about running a BBS on the model 4. I had written a BBS a long time ago that I really wish I still had. I could probably write one again but I don't have the time to devote to such a project right now. If you know of any good BBS programs that I could run, let me know.

That's awesome, thanks! I will give it a try in a couple of days. Hello again, long distance charges... :)

I briefly ran Citadel on my Model 4 back in 1986. Give it a try.

Damn. I was all set to try it and then realized that I have no phone connection in my office (Just Ethernet), and I don't have a phone extension. ARGH! Oh well, off to the store I go.

I've had good luck using my Magic Jack Plus for dial-up connections and faxing, seems to handle 9600 baud ok. You could try that, but I don't know if other Magic Jack versions can handle data connections, but they did advertise the Plus as being about to do it.

I've had good luck doing dialup and fax over a Magic Jack Plus. Speeds up to 9600 baud, but I'm unsure if other models of MJ will support data, the Plus is the only one they advertised to do data. How this helps...
