Just pulled a nice condition ST-4096 from a scrapped 386. I reformatted it and dropped DOS 6.22 on it and it runs like a charm, any interest? Seem to go semi regularly on ebay for $60 + shipping, so if someone here is interested Ill pack it well in a medium flat rate and ship it off for $65.

They sell for $60? I just sold a flawless working and tested one, along with an ST-11M and cable to a client, all set up to drop into a 5155, for $175 USD.

I guess they trust our work to be solid.

I'd buy yours, but, shipping from California to SW Ontario would probably eat up a LOT of cash....

True enough, those are untested as-is that sold on ebay.

Part of the reason I started doing this (buying/reselling vintage computers/parts) was to learn about them, so theres bound to be a growing pain or two. Like this, I guess. :)

About $50.

So you could probably get it for ~ $100.00. shipped.

Probably pretty accurate, but, the last one sat around for a couple of years and probably went because the buyer is local.

They've decided that they want us to install it because we'll be doing the "640K-on-board" mod at the same time.

The first thing you learn is that the price of a working unit is several times higher than one that doesn't.

We always show our stuff working.
