Howdy,

I'm in the middle of doing an electrolytic cap overhaul on my 512, and was looking at the floppy drive- it does work OK but I was wondering if it's worth changing the tantalum and electrolytic cans in the floppy drive also? The lower board is not too bad but access to the upper board looks right and proper fiddly a job.

I would not change the tantalums unless it was obvious there had been a failure.
Aside from cleaning and alignment issues I've found those floppy drives to hold up really well.

I'll leave it then, just do the caps on the power/sweep board. A couple were getting a bit ugly underneath, would certainly explain the screen sag...
