Near the beginning of last month, my IBM 8512 monitor I was using with my 286 machine died, I originally opted to get it fixed, but then I found a guy on ebay selling another monitor which was better, as in had a stand, could swivel, and was 14 inch instead of 12 inch, so a smidgen larger.

I asked him if he could hold it until I had the money, he said he could. At the end of November I made the payment, however it took until December 11th for it to process completely, and he shipped after that.

According to the tracking it was supposed to arrive on monday, but it landed in toronto area last night about 2 hours from me, and since the fedex guys work on saturday, they decided to just deliver it this morning instead of needlessly delaying it.

It arrived clean, almost new looking, and in working condition. The only thing I needed to do was adjust the picture, that's it.

Except that the 8512 *is* a 14" monitor. :)
