The annoying proprietary ones. Can’t seem to find them anywhere.

The one for the model 80 preferably, tho ill take a model 90 XP one too.

Please update your profile with some semblance of location, that's more precise than "the world, probably somewhere that speaks english"....
... I think I might have a PC Server 500 cable but not sure if it fits the model 80- planar. However as I am in the UK its probably expensive to ship...

At one time, I had one or two incomplete (and likely non-functional as to what was left) model 80's tucked away in a storage shed. If you're still interested, and located somewhere shipping is reasonable from the USA, I can try to dig them out when the weather warms up in another month or three...

Let me ask my friend, he just picked up an entire school's worth of PS/2's. Do you think one of the lower end models would have a cable that would work? He has a bunch of 30's

Oof, I didn’t see the recent replies to this. I’m not sure Model 30 cables would work, from what I can gather there are differences between FRUs between the systems.

But Wesleyfurr that sounds amazing. I’m in Michigan, so not all that far from Virginia. I would love to have them.

Worst case scenario, you can make your own cable from parts on DigiKey. I did that for a missing proprietary cable on my Intel Inboard 386/PC. If you need the pinout I can probe the floppy cables on my Model 60 & 80 that I'm restoring right now. Also, if anyone has a PS/2 model 60 or 80 floppy drive, could they please take a look at this thread I posted? I really would appreciate it.

I did just that. I followed a guide and everything. Tried a whole bunch of mod cable configurations. Doesn’t work. My fellow PS/2 fanboys in the google group are just as stumped as I am. So I want a honest-to-god cable to rule out a FDD Controller fault.

But I have a model 80 FDD (and a 2.88 MB PS/2 floppy drive) and ill look at that topic.

Are you sure that the floppy drive is not the problem? Have you verified it works in another machine? These PS/2's are really well built computers with a nice, clean appearance, but their floppy drives have way to many problems. Dead electrolytic caps, seized up motors, etc. It's so annoying especially when they won't run anything with a dead floppy drive but basic after your CMOS is lost, even if you have a hard drive. What's worse is that you can't find any sound cards either.
