I just acquired an ET6800. As I understand it, this is very similar to Heathkit's ET-3400 or ET-3400A but without the breadboard area. I haven't opened it yet to investigate. I am, however, is search of an assembly/users manual for the ET6800 but haven't located one on the web yet.

I highly recommend the Yahoo group "ET-3400". There's a files section that has quite a bit of information. I had thought that there was an ET-6800 manual there as well, but I just checked and unfortunately there is none.

I have an ET-6800 and manual and schematic. The machine is a bit of a mix of ET-3400 and ET-3400A, without any of the easy bus connectors. It uses the exact same mask ROM part (and therefore the same firmware) as the ET-3400, and much of the same same logic. It has only 256 bytes of RAM. It does appear to have a connector such that it could be connected to the ETA-3400 MIO unit for more memory, serial, tape unit. However, I'm not sure this has been tested.

In order to use the ET-6800, the ET-3400 manual is mostly the same as the ET-6800's. All the descriptions and sample programs are the same.

I don't know who bought the manual, but I scanned my copy of it and the schematic and uploaded it to the yahoo group.
