I have a couple of VT-100's and was thinking about trying to convert one to a VT-180. Boy, the information on the VT-180 is sure sparse. I found someone locally selling what they call a "VT-180 logic board". I'm not sure exactly what this would be and neither are they. Is this the add-on board that converts a VT-100 to a VT-180 or is this a board that would have come with a new VT-180 that includes both? If anyone could point me to their favorate repository of VT-180 information, I'd be forever grateful. Also, I'm cureous if all VT-100's could be converted or just some? Would a "VT-180 logic board" contain the floppy controll logic? Is it a "standard" or close to "standard" 34 pin floppy interface such that I could use or modify for use a standard 360K floppy drive? Anyone have CP/M disk images for this beast?

I haven't seen much either, I'd start with VT100.net maybe. I suspect the "logic board" is nothing more than a CPU and ram on a board, that fits in the card cage of the VT100. I think the floppy drives are external and use a DB37....I say that because I saw pics somewhere ages ago, again you'll probably just have to search around for more info. Unfortunatly the info on the VT100 series is sparce, the VT180 even more so!

I've recently (few days) run across a number of disks which claim to be for TV-802 & TV-806/816. I have no way to test 'em, but you're welcome to 'em. These would be CP/M, 5.25" floppies, but I'm not sure if they'll work with a VT-180. I've never seen a VT-180, but I always wondered what those 'extra' slots were for in the few VT-100s that I've seen the insides of.
