  • From now on we will require that a prefix is set for any items in the sales area. We have created regions and locations for this. We also require that you select a delivery option before posting your listing. This will hopefully help us streamline the things that get listed for sales here and help local people better advertise their items, especially for local only sales. New sales rules are also coming, so stay tuned.

Ampro LB-186, circa 1985. Features an Intel 80186 CPU, 512Kb RAM, dual serial ports, parallel, floppy and on-board SCSI, in an SBC the same footprint as a 5.25" drive. I can't locate the .pdf of the manual I have, but I'm sure that if you ask real nicely, Ampro tech support will send you a copy too.

$35.00 + shipping, or whaddya got to swap?

Private messages please.

Oh, cool...if only I needed yet another hobby project

And the price is really good, too, SBCs usually end up going higher than that on eBay. The processor is (relatively) odd, so it might be worth more than, say, an 8088...

I knew that name looked familiar (rich cini). I got lucky and found the pdf in about 12 seconds of googleland.

I actually took the advice of someone on ClassicCmp regarding Ampro. I emailed them and in a few days, the PDFs for both the LB286 and LB186 appeared in my inbox. Unfortunately, they no longer have the DOS support disk for the LB186. The LB186 will run DOS, but there are supposedly some programs that enhance compatibility for DOS programs that don't play exactly by the rules.
