Interesting and cool thing google or someone has done here (although I have no idea how people set something like this up). However Google Maps has the fire locations marked via this link: http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?msa=0&msid=114250687465160386813.00043d08ac31fe3357571 (also what myself and a few others found when checking if they were near the Computer History museum or the Digibarn).
Sorry for posting this simply as an item of interest. My condolences for anyone going through this tragedy and I don't mean to sound cold regarding the event. I just rarely see new technology go to a useful level like government monitoring or warnings for the public.
